Mom, Lead Us Home

After playing follow the leader in the church parking lot today on our bikes, it was my turn.  The children each had their own turn leading the way and by the time it was my turn, they were tired and cold.  As I lead them around the parking lot, one of them said, "Mom, lead us home."  Then it came again from another child, "Mom, lead us home!"  I finished our tour of the parking lot and headed for home.  They knew where it was and they knew what it offered and they wanted me to lead them there.

I couldn't help but think of how I can not only lead them to our earthly home, but also back to our heavenly home.  I have the Savior as my guide and as I follow him, and they follow me, we can't go wrong.

I hope I won't soon forget these word.

"Mom, lead us home."
