Answered Prayers

Sometime around mid-morning it began to snow, and is still snowing. There has got to be at least 4 inches already this morning, and that's not including the snow already on the ground. It is beautiful to watch the huge flakes come down, but not so fun to drive in.

Will braved the snow and headed out to do a little job. About a 1/2 hour later he called me (I always get nervous when he calls in weather like this), and I asked him how he was. He was laughing and I asked if he had gotten into an accident. He said that he hadn't, but that he was stuck out in the toolies. The road are so slick that he just slid right off the road, and was having no luck getting out. He told me not to come rescue him, because it would probably make things worse, but simply asked me to say a prayer. So I did just that. I gathered the kids together and told them about their Daddy, and suggested we say a prayer for him. Nani was the first to volunteer, and she offered a sweet simple prayer. Next was JR, then Za Za, and finally me. I asked specifically that someone would stop and help Will.

I have been calling every 1/2 hour or so to check up on his progress. He decided to walk to Target to see if they sold tire chains. No luck. Then he took a walk to Home Depot, still no luck. The nearest Checker Auto was miles away. Then a very nice man stopped and offered to help Will. He took him to Checker then back to him van.

Now that is an answer to prayer.
