When I grow up

Last night at the dinner table, JR had this conversation:

JR -"When I grow up I want to be a vegetarian."
At first I thought he said veterinarian, and was really excited, but then when I realized what he said I asked,
Mom - "What's that?", just to see if he really knew what it was.
JR - "You know Mom, when all you eat is vegetables."
Mom - "You mean that you never want to eat bacon, or ham, or hot dogs, or hamburgers, or roast beef, or chicken, or turkey?"
JR - "Well I would only want to do it for a little while."
Mom - "Where did you hear about this?"

JR- "I don't know."
Mom - "Did you read it in a book or magazine?"
JR - "Well I think I read something about it in the Benjamin Franklin book I am reading."
Mom - "Well ok."

JR - (somewhat distraught)"Does that mean I have to eat vegetables for breakfast?"
Mom-
I just shrugged my shoulders and gave him a look that said 'I don't know'

It was funny. He was so serious about it too. We'll see what happens.

Uh oh. He would not make it in my family. I probably said when I was little that I wanted to be a carnivore.
