Surgery Day

Surgery days are always long.

Today has not been any different.

Although the hours have been long, we have all been in good spirits.

Especially this little girl.
She is such a trooper!!

Even though she hadn't eaten anything,
she was cheerful and all smiles.

After getting to the hospital, we were told that the doctor was 2 hours behind,
and that our surgery would be pushed back to 3:00.

Thank goodness for lots of toys, books, and child life specialists!
She got to play doctor with her surgery buddy.

Saying good-bye was the hardest for us.
She will be out of surgery soon.
